When I found out Emmet and Molly were going to have a baby I jumped at the chance to do their maternity portraits. What can I say about this couple? I have known Emmett for years and years from our church. Our history goes back even further than that though, My dad actually coached his dad baseball in high school. I still remember Emmet when he was probably 13 or 14. We were starting up a church softball team. He wanted to play so bad but he wasn’t old enough yet and I remember feeling really bad for him. Then I remember a few years later when he was finally old enough and got to play. He was a great teammate and a tremendous athlete. As he grew up and went off to college it was so awesome seeing him get involved in Chi Alpha at Sam Houston State University, which is a christian campus ministries program. It was here where he met his beautiful bride Molly. They have now graduated and are on staff with Chi ALpha and I couldn’t be prouder of the two of them. It was great meeting these guys in Tomball at this great location to get these photos of this magnificent couple. Now they are adding their little bundle of joy and their life will change forever!
Last weekend I went out and took maternity pictures of my neighbors in Tomball. We’ve been friends for a few years and when we found out Amber was pregnant we knew we wanted to take her maternity pictures. The bad part about maternity pictures is the 6-8 month wait to be able to take them. When we originally scheduled the session we were going to do it a park that we’ve shot at many times. As we looked at different picture ideas and all I told Amber, “I wish we had a nice big field to take your pictures at”. Next thing I knew she said Nick has a friend with a lot of property with fields, fences, a pond and a bridge. They were going to check with them to see if we could use their property and I’m so glad they did. These pictures are by far the favorite maternity session I’ve done. I was happy to be able to capture their personality so well. Usually guys are the hardest to get relaxed and to give a real smile so the triumph of this session was the real smile we were able to capture of Nick.
Last April I had the chance to shoot my cousin’s Wedding. That was very exciting. I remember the day she was born I had to write a paper in my 7th grade English class. We were supposed to write about something exciting that had happened recently so I wrote about my new cousin being born. It is hard to believe that she is now about to have a baby of her own. She is 32 weeks pregnant and we can’t wait for baby Mason to get here. Once he does, rest assured there will be more pictures posted on my blog.
Today I shoot some maternity pictures for my sister-in-law. I was very please with the way they turned out. They are expecting baby Gage any day now. I know mother is ready. Stay tuned for actual pictures of the baby.
